Malta’s incoming central bank head Bonnici says:
- Policy still accommodative; conceivable will have to go up
- Negative real rates a particular concern; have to be corrected eventually
- Wonders whether purchases of US securities are still required and to what extent
- I tend to lean to the hawkish side at this time
