ATHENS (MNI) – Negotiations between Greece and inspectors from the
European Commission, European Central Bank and International Monetary
Fund are ongoing and the goal is to conclude them by Monday, in time for
a meeting of Eurozone finance ministers in Luxembourg, a senior Greek
Finance Ministry official said today.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with the troika inspectors
here, the official said “it is an ongoing process that will continue in
the next days.”

“We try to tackle two issues at the same time, the fiscal one and
the structural one – to find E13.5 billion [of deficit-cutting measures]
and see where we are on the structural reforms front,” he explained.

“There will be more meetings until Monday, which is our targeted
deadline. The process will continue in a serious, systematic and
efficient way until then. On Monday we will know where we stand,” the
official added.

Asked whether all measures have been agreed on, the source said
that “at the moment we are in a negotiation process and cannot…speak
of specific measures.”
