Housing finance data from Australia, This has been on the slide along with house prices.
Home loans -0.9% m/m
- expected -1.5%, prior was 2.2%
Investment lending -4.5% m/m
- prior was 0.6%
Owner-occupied loan value -1.4% m/m
- prior was 3.5%
The headline result was expected lower after the gain the previous month. And indeed it is, but not by as much as was expected. So I guess something for bulls and bears there. Investment lending is a big drop.
AUD is barely responsive.

ps. This is the last one of these. Via the ABS:
- the final issue of the Housing Finance, Australia (5609.0) and Lending Finance, Australia (5671.0) publications
- Both publications will be combined into a single, simpler publication called Lending to Households and Businesses, Australia (5601.0).
Righto then.
