December 23 is Festivus. People who need little more than a Seinfeld-created holiday to crack open a holiday beer are hard at it.

A great Festivus tradition is the airing of grievances.

Festivus

The market has been good to me this year but my grievance at the moment is AUD/USD. I thought it bottomed earlier this year when the RBA moved to the sidelines but the bounce was a trap and it’s fallen for a record 9 consecutive weeks. I’m long, I’m wrong and I’m frustrated.

My non-market grievance is freezing rain. It took me 31 hours to get from one side of a Canadian province to the other. It’s a big country but not that big. I don’t mind snow and I don’t mind rain — pick one other other Mother Nature!
