The Caixin / Markit PMI is the 'private' survey, which was out earlier in the session today:
While we are in the middle of a fairly quiet sort of session I just thought I'd add this little note on what sets the Caixin / Markit survery apart from the official (NBS) Survey:
Caixin Manufacturing PMI:
- Its based on data compiled from monthly replies to questionnaires sent to purchasing executives
- At over 400 manufacturing firms
- Caixin's PMI tends to track smaller private manufacturers more closely. while the official survey (from NBS/China Logistics) is of firms including the larger state-owned companies
