German Chancellor Merkel is still trying to build a coalition government

The latest is we are awaiting the results of a postal ballot to be held on Tuesday (20 February 2018)

• Social Democrat (SPD) members vote in the ballot to decide if their party should go ahead with the coalition agreement with Merkel CDU/CSU
