Japanese retail sentiment index falls by 4 points

This Reuters survey tests the level of retail consumer confidence in the local stock market and it fell by 4 points in May as the economic outlook became more cloudy for ordinary Japanese. Put this together with the heavy and real threat of deflation as shown in the earlier data, and there do not seem to be too many green shoots appearing in Japan.
