The Australian government has come out and said that it will boost its compensation to the major emitters. The changes sees an addiional A$1.28Bln in expenditure, reaching A$7Bln by 2020. The opposition still has to decide by today whether to support the changes or not.
As Sean mentioned earlier this can be a slight negative for the AUD.
