Total goods and services balance -£1.546bn vs May revised -£2.612bn, lowest since Jan 2013.
The trade balance has still been fairly choppy over the last few quarters but that drop takes it to the smallest deficit since Jan 2012. The non-EU deficit is the smallest since Oct 2005.
It indicates that trade to the EU is growing but trade outside the EU is fairing better.
