Greetings all and Happy Christmas. (If you don’t celebrate Christmas have a happy day anyway!)
Its December 25 already in Japan, but its not an official holiday; markets are open, and there is a little on the agenda on Tokyo today, most notably from the Bank of Japan.
- 2350GMT – PPI Services for November, expected is 3.5% and prior was 3.6%
- 2350GMT – The BOJ release the Minutes of their November 18/19 meeting. There shouldn’t be anything to surprise in these – at the meeting policy was left unchanged (there was a change in policy at the previous meeting).
- 0345GMT – Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Kuroda speaks in Tokyo. He will be addressing the Keidanren business group and speaking on the state of the economy.

ps. I won’t be around much today (if at all).
