Press conference coming at the bottom of the hour
A report says there are two finalists and one of them is senior deputy Carolyn Wilkins. The other name is undisclosed but it's not Jean Boivin, who was one of the names circulated.
Wilkins would be the first woman to lead the Bank of Canada. She would also be the first governor in years who didn't have a PhD in economics.
The new governor will take over on June 2.
