Powell is all about the bank regulation
The main reason Powell got the job as Fed President, in my opinion, was his strong desire to roll back or ease bank regulations and rules.
Some highlights:
Banks under $250 billion would face reduced requirements
2 key ratios eased for non-global banks above $250 billion
Would tailor prudential standards to bank's risk profile
Bank regulation is a dry subject but in the future bank rules and regulations are going to be as big of a factor as interest rates for the broader economy.
