Fisher says decision not to taper undermined Fed credibility

Fisher is a hawk, so keep his comments in perspective:

• He argued against Fed decision to keep bond-buying program unchanged
• Decision hurt Fed’s communications credibility
• No taper adds to uncertainty about Fed policy

KC Fed President George also played the credibility card that week. I take it as a sign of the lack of influence of the hawks sitting around the table.
