Japanese fin min out on the wires overnight from an interview with public broadcaster NHK that aired Friday evening in Tokyo
Citing a surplus of cash in the Japanese economy and weak domestic demand Aso said:
- govt is not considering a supplementary budget this fiscal year
" At this point the government is not thinking about anything like that, and probably the Bank of Japan will not undertake additional monetary easing right now"
Reuters and Bloomberg reporting and that the comments were confirmed by a finance ministry official who asked not to be identitified
Markets have been speculating furiously on whether the BOJ will ease at their next meeting on 30 Oct
These comments will add weight to the No camp
