I posted earlier on the announcement of the new head of the Dallas Federal Reserve:
- Robert Kaplan starts as the president and chief executive on September 8, replacing Richard Fisher (who retired in March)
- He is currently the Martin Marshall Professor of Management Practice and a Senior Associate Dean at Harvard Business School
Comments from JP Morgan:
- Kaplan previously served as a member of the New York Fed's Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets
- "His views on monetary policy are largely unknown at this point
- The Dallas Fed President is not a voting member of the FOMC until 2017
- This announcement does not have any immediate implications for monetary policy."

Obviously I wish Mr. Kaplan well. But, cards on the table .... in all honesty I would have preferred Donald Trump. That would have made FX a lot more fun!
