NZD back up again! – September RBNZ statement republished in error!

Here’s the story from Bloomberg:

  • The Reserve Bank of New Zealand today accidentally republished its Sept. 25 statement on the currency, said RBNZ spokeswoman Naomi Mitchell.
  • The error occurred when the RBNZ was preparing to publish a new release on changes to the calculation of its trade weighted index

Well, that was nasty.

Both Reuters and Bloomberg carried the earlier headlines

Now the headline on both:

  • “Ignore: RBNZ September statement on currency republished in error”

Wow …

The next headline reads:

  • RBNZ has not commented on currency today

The currency has done a lap of lower now back up again:
