PBOC to name Chen Yulu as deputy governor

Current president of Renmin University Chen Yulu will be appointed a deputy governor at the People's Bank of China, citing people familiar with the decision.

China is in an easing cycle and last cut on Aug 25. Recent cuts have been in 2-3 month intervals and that points to another move sometime in November.

Chinese stocks bottomed the day after the most-recent cut and have gained 20% since, hitting a seven-week high today.

Goldman Sachs was out with a note earlier this week saying the PBOC has more room to cut.
