Coming up from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand - due 2100GMT is the cash rate announcement and the release of the Monetary Policy Statement

• Governor Wheeler will hold his press conference an hour later (2200GMT)

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand announcement is quite different to other major central banks, the RBNZ has discontinued the 'lock-up', That is, there are no journalists getting a look at the decision and statement in the hours ahead and thus publishing their story right on the dot at the time of release.

The RBNZ discontinued the lock-up after some noob journo released the details early for a meeting last year.
