Reuters report the BOJ is surveying businesses on wage plans
All 32 of the central bank's regional branches will be carrying out the survey, sources familiar with the matter said
- The survey's findings will be part of the BOJ's quarterly report on the economic health of regional areas in Japan
- Report is due out roughly two weeks before the BOJ monetary policy meeting on January 28 and 29, they said.
"If the survey shows companies won't really raise wages much, that adds to a host of recent weak data on prices and could nudge the BOJ into easing," said Mari Iwashita, chief market economist at SMBC Friend Securities.

Further BOJ easing should be a yen negative
