Poll time!
- BOE to raise interest rates to 0.75% in Q1 2015 (unchanged on prior poll)
- 45% see a chance of the BOE raising this year, up from 40%
Unchanged on the growth front and little change in the rate hike front, much like a Bloomberg survey yesterday.
On the growth front we need to remember that there is going to be a load of revisions to GDP next month starting on the 3rd. It’s going to make everything as clear as mud.
Today the ONS released some revisions that showed that the 2008/2009 recession was’t as bad as first thought and only shrank by 0.3%. That’s great but it was only 6 weeks ago they said it shrank by 1.1% and last year they said -0.8%.
Throw enough darts with your eyes closed and eventually one will hit the target
UK GDP revisions, what could go wrong?
