Comments on the economy from SF Fed President Williams:
- Every meeting, including June, is on the table for a hike
- Will have two more months of economic data before the June decision
- Fed should wait some time after rate hikes to start before letting balance sheet shrink
- If dollar, oil price more or less flat, inflation should move back up
Hawkish stuff from Williams, who is known as a dove (although his dovish reputation was always exaggerated). The Fed wants to hike, now it just needs the data to confirm it.
