Another Bank of Japan unscheduled JGB purchase operation

The Bank of Japan is in buying Japanese Government Bonds again.

Unscheduled:

  • bids to buy JPY 650bn in 3-5 yr remaining until maturity JGBs
  • bids to buy JPY 650bn in 5-10 yr remaining until maturity JGBs

These bond buys are part of the BOJ's effort to control the yield curve .
