Expectations are rising for a PBOC cut on Friday, 15 April 2022

  • Rate cut, RRR cut ... perhaps both

The background to this speculation:

  • A signal of a PBOC cut. This time from China's leaders. The PBOC will pay attentio
  • Goldman Sachs says a People's Bank of China RRR cut "in the next few days"

A Medium Term Lending Facility (MLF) will mature tomorrow, Friday.

  • 200bn yuan

This will be rolled, the question is at what rate? You'll see from the posts above that the PBOC now has a rate cut on their 'to do' list. Also a cut to the RRR. Citi says this could be tomorrow also:
