Philip Jefferson
Fed Gov. Philip Jefferson

FOMC member Jefferson is on the wires saying:

  • The banking system is sound and resilient
  • Banks have started to raise lending standards. That is typical for where the US is in the economic cycle
  • Inflation started to come down, economy has started to slow in a orderly fashion
  • Inflation will come down while economy continues to grow

Jefferson's comments are tilting toward the dovish/soft landing side.
