ICYMI - further hawkish remarks out of the ECB (Lane) on Monday

On Monday I noted the weekend remarks from ECB officials:

  • 4 ECB speakers over the weekend: concerns expressed on low EUR, & Sept rate hike forecast

On Monday during Europe/US time we had ECB chief economist Philip Lane:

  • ECBs Lane: Inflation Is expected to remain high in the near term

Just a heads up to this ICYMI.

EUR/USD update, back to flopping around parity::
