NZD/USD making new highs as RBNZ Governor Orr speaks

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand raised its cash rate today, there is a rund won in the wrap here:

Reserve Bank of New Zealand Governor Orr news conference followed at 0300 GMT:

  • RBNZ Governor Orr says the Bank is determined to contain inflation

Bank analysts are issuing forecasts for the next few meetings. ASB says the RBNZ will hike by 50bps again in July and August.

NZD/USD has moved a little higher in response:
