Reuters Tankan - manufacturer sentiment has hit an 11-month low

The Reuters Tankan monthly poll is intended to track the quarterly Bank of Japan tankan survey

Japan February manufacturers index +6 vs +17 in January, to an 11-month low
non-manufacturers index falls to +3 from +8 in January
manufacturers May index seen at +18, non-manufacturers +14

Measures to address the pandemic and also the high cost of raw material inputs cited for the slump in sentiment. Add in the shortage of semiconductors and labour market stress too.
