New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman sent letters to 13 cryptocurrency exchanges with a long questionnaire (read it here) that wants details on ownership, policies, fees, internal controls, procedures and customer protection.
"Detail the policies, procedures, or technological measures you have in place, if any, concerning the use of "bots" or other forms of automated trading on your platform," is one of the things it asks for.
Among those who were sent the note were Gemini Trust Co. and itBit Trust Co., as well as Coinbase Inc.'s GDAX and BitFlyer USA Inc.
Officials plan to publish the results.
