DUP says that it will back the Brexit 'Plan C'
In case you missed it earlier, this is basically a compromise plan struck between Jacob Rees-Mogg and Tory remainers - joined together by Kit Malthouse, hence the name - and has emerged as the Brexit 'Plan C'.
The plan is to replace the current backstop and also extend the transition period to December 2021. But for the DUP it's basically all about the backstop. In short, what this means is that the DUP is likely giving endorsement for the Brady Amendment (though they did not explicitly say this) provided that Theresa May commits to backing the plan here.
But once again, it must be reiterated, this will still depend on whether or not the amendment is selected by John Bercow and what Theresa May has to say in parliament later.
