Atlanta Fed GDPNow sees Q1 growth at 1.2%

Atlanta Fed releases first forecast of Q1 GDP

After the US economy grew just 0.7% in Friday's first estimate of Q42015 growth, the economy will ramp up to a 1.2% annualized pace in Q1, according to the Atlanta Fed.

The current consensus for Q1 growth is 2.5%.

If the Atlanta Fed estimate is right and Q4 growth is unrevised at 0.7%, that would put March 2015 to March 2016 growth at just 1.67%.
