Australian Business confidence jumped to its highest level in 6 years in August, as firms reported improving sales and profits and adding to the case that a rate rise is on itsway.
The NAB business confidence index rose 8 points to a reading of +18, its best reading since Oct 2003.
The Business conditions Index also rose, firming 3 points to a reading +4. Readings of profits jumped 10 points to +11 and sales 8 points to +12.
