AUSTRALIA: Expectations for sales and profits for the June quarter are
at their highest for at least five years, which indicates the worst of
the global financial crisis has passed, The Sydney Morning Herald
reports citing a survey. The Dun & Bradstreet survey of business
expectations found sales expectations had risen 5 points, to 33 index
points, the highest level in six years. Profit expectations increased by
8 index points to 18 for the June quarter, the highest in five years.
The June quarter sales index is now up a significant 81 points on the
June quarter trough in 2009, the report says.
