The data and my initial take is here: Australia - Capex data for Q2: Headline 0.8% (expected 0.2%)
Some pics from the Australian Bureau of Statistics:
TOTAL CAPITAL EXPENDITURE
--
BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES
--
EQUIPMENT, PLANT AND MACHINERY
--
MINING
--
MANUFACTURING
--
OTHER SELECTED INDUSTRIES
I want to make 2 points:
1. I said in my initial post that the bottom line is this is a good report - given the context of the capex cliff I think this report is very solid indeed when looking at the above graphs
2. 6 pics .... which at current exchange rates equate to 6,000 words, right? Longest post ever?
