Latest data released by Destatis - 30 April 2019
- Prior +0.3%
- CPI +2.1% y/y
- Prior +1.5%
That's the last of the state releases and all of them basically showed a notable jump in inflationary pressures for the month of April. This sets up a positive bias ahead of the national reading later, which is already expected to improve from +1.3% y/y in March to +1.5% y/y in April. I reckon the jump could be bigger than that judging by the state releases here.
