LONDON (MNI) – Foreign exchange turnover in the UK hit a record
high in April, according to a survey released by the Bank of England
Monday.

The BOE survey found average daily foreign exchange turnover in
April was up 30% on a year ago and up 23% from the previous survey,
carried out in October.

With average daily reported foreign exchange turnover at USD2,191
billion the BOE said this was the highest level recorded in the history
of the survey.
