Comments from Boris Johnson
Johnson is a leading candidate to replace Theresa May and his campaigning and wooing of MPs is now officially underway:
- Question is will the will of the people prevail? I think it and must, otherwise there will be a very bad reaction
- We will leave EU on Oct 31, deal or no deal
- The way to get a good deal is prepare for a no-deal scenario
- Have have to be prepared to walk away from the table to get a good deal
- I don't want to impose tariffs on BMWs
- I don't want or think no deal will be the outcome
- European Union may still say no to renegotiation
It will be interesting to see how Boris fares.
