Brexit - UK PM May categorically rules out customs union with EU

Foot, meet bullet. UK press reports that May has said no a customs union.

• THERESA May was last night forced to rule out any form of customs union with the EU after Tory Brexiteers threatened a mass walk-out.
• The PM had even been warned of a formal split in the Conservative party if she opted to keep Britain tied to the EU's trading rules, which would bar us from striking new trade deals.

That's from The Sun, but reports are elsewhere also. Not breaking news and not unexpected. A customs union with the EU post-Brexit was one option under consideration, Not any more by the sound of it.
