The total deaths are lower as well
The CDCs US Covid statistics are being released:
- Case him ount fell to 40,117 on the day from 41,893 yesterday.
- New deaths total 520 vs. yesterday's 654.
The numbers are markedly lower than the +50,000 seen last weekend death count that was comfortably above 1000 per day. The 7 day averages up around 51,000
