White House Council of Economic Advisers head Austan Goolbee is calling for additional fiscal stimulus, saying the economy is not growing quickly enough to lower the unemployment rate.
While economists love spending other peoples money to try and boost the broad economy, the majority of taxpayers hate the idea, so a major stimulus seems unlikely against the present political backdrop.
