Chancellor Osborne: Spending review will achieve same spending profile as in June budget
- Capital expenditure will be 2 bln higher between now and 2014/15 than in budget
- Public sector headcount will fall 490k over four years (this had already been leaked by mistake)
- Will save 7.1% a year over 4 years in funding to local government
- To raise rents for new social housing tenants to 80% of mkt rate to fund new homes
- Home Office and Justice Ministry spending to fall by 6% a year
- Will save an extra 7 bln a year from welfare
- State pension age for men and women will reach 66 by 2020
- Aim to extract maximum sustainable tax revenue from banks over a number of years
