CHINA DATA: Chinese data sets, released in the past few days, have been
promising, with HSBC flash manufacturing PMI for November coming in Thursday at
50.4, above the boom/bust 50 level for the first time in 13 months. This
positive tone was further underscored by Friday’s release of MNI’s flash China
business sentiment survey. The headline overall conditions index rose to 53.57
in November, up from 51.86 in October for the third month of expansion and at
the highest level since May. The flash survey is based on 80% of the responses
in the final survey, to be released November 30.
