Once again, China not giving too much away and they're certainly not playing up expectations for a deal to be struck. There were many positive messages from the US camp overnight but all China has done since then is just confirm that Trump and Xi had a phone conversation and that they hope both sides can resolve the current dispute.
On paper, the meeting next week is good for risk assets but the fact is if neither side is willing to change their stance from a few weeks ago, it matters little at the end of the day.
