Congress likely to lift oil export ban

Congress is likely to end the 40-year US oil export ban as part of a package of spending and tax measures that's not yet finalized, DJ reports.

This is good for the US dollar and the trade balance but the bigger winner might be Canadian oil. It can now flow into the US and then get exported via the Gulf of Mexico coast.
