Eurostat issued an official correction on Friday. Corrected story is
below:

BRUSSELS (MNI) – Eurostat, the EU’s statistics agency, will publish
a sectoral breakdown of its flash HICP data alongside the headline
inflation figure, starting with Friday’s report for the month of
September.

Inflation data for four sectors – food, alcohol and tobacco,
industrial goods, services, and energy – will now be published to help
followers of the benchmark inflation figure better understand what
sectors are driving price increases in Europe, the agency said.

Services have a weighting of 41.47%, energy 10.99%, industrial
goods 28.47%, and food, alcohol and tobacco, 19.07%.

The additional data will not change the timing of flash or full
HICP releases, which will continue to be published towards the end and
middle of each month, respectively.
