EUR/USD rises to a session high of 1.1614

The dollar index is dragged to its lowest levels on the day down 0.2% as the greenback is slipping across the board. The catalyst is Cohen's lawyer's comments here stating that Cohen has knowledge of the Russian conspiracy - something that could threaten Trump or at least destabilise Trump ahead of the midterms in November.

That has seen GBP/USD move back above the 1.2900 handle while USD/CAD is dragged to session lows of 1.3008. USD/JPY has also moved lower to 110.28 while AUD/USD is paring earlier losses now to trade almost flat at 0.7366.

Strap yourselves in, folks. It's going to be quite the bumpy ride today in US trading.
