The early polls close in Canada's far Eastern province

It's very early as poll results trickle in from Newfoundland. So far results from 6 of the 7 ridings in the province show the Liberals leading. It's a good sign for them nationally but it's way too early to say.

The other seat shows the NDP leading.

The Liberals won 4 of the 7 provincial seats in the 2011 election. Overall provincial votes in Newfoundland show them at about 75% compared to 50-60% in polls leading up to the election.

Update:

CBC shows the swing in votes compared to the previous election in Atlantic votes counted so far.
