A preview of the calendar for European trading today

Good day, everyone! Welcome to the start of the new trading week, hope you all had a good weekend to catch up with some rest and what not.

The market has been a quiet one so far with tight ranges still prevailing. I don't expect things to change all too much in European trading as well, since we have a light-ish calendar for today:

0545 GMT - Switzerland March unemployment rate

Prior report can be found here. A minor data point, as the estimate is for the labour market to continue to tighten.

0600 GMT - Germany February trade balance data

Prior report can be found here. Not a report that will offer too much, if anything it's more relevant an indicator of how Trump feels about other nations having a trade surplus against the US more than it will offer anything to the euro.

0630 GMT - Australia March foreign reserves data

A minor data point, a glimpse of the RBA's foreign reserves split.

0730 GMT - UK March Halifax house price index data

Prior release can be found here. A minor data point on housing data for the UK economy. Not a market mover by any means.

0800 GMT - SNB total sight deposits w.e. 6 April

Your weekly check of the deposits kept at the SNB by Swiss banks. This data is a proxy for FX interventions.

0830 GMT - Eurozone April Sentix investor confidence

Prior release can be found here. A general sentiment indicator of investors' outlook of the Eurozone economy over the next six months.

1300 GMT - ECB's Vitor Constancio speaks in Brussels

Constancio will be presenting the 2017 ECB annual report in front of the ECON committee.

That's all for the European session later, some data points here and there but none that will make too much of a difference. I wish you all the best of days ahead, and as always good luck with your trading!
