What's coming up on the calendar front today

Hi, everyone! Hope you're all having a good day. Markets are generally quiet, but a common theme is developing in the wake of thin liquidity - and that's dollar weakness.

Anyway, today we have a relatively light calendar ahead:

0900 GMT - ECB economic bulletin

ECB releases their statistical data after the ECB meeting earlier this month. Usually has no impact as all the key details have already been disclosed by Draghi or already communicated by the ECB themselves on the day of the monetary policy meeting.

0930 GMT - UK Finance Nov mortgage approvals

Source delayed from yesterday to today. A rough indicator of UK housing market demand - as these are housing loans approved by High Street Banks in the UK. Not a very significant data point as it's not the full picture, but gives a general sentiment on the economy at least.

Nothing else of note it seems for the European session.

As always, hope you all have a nice day ahead and good luck with your trading! Those who are still on a break, happy holidays. :)
