There is plenty on the calendar today
2230 GMT - Australia - the weekly consumer confidence data from ANZ / Roy Morgan
- ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence, prior 112.6 and still on the soft side
0030 GMT - National Australia Bank October business survey
- Business conditions, prior 14
- And Business confidence, prior 7
- In the September survey both confidence and conditions indicators rose. While there is no survey of expectations for this given other indicators in October and the political turmoil it seems likely these may ease back a little.
0200 GMT - China October data for:
- Industrial Production,
- Fixed Assets (excluding rural),
- and Retail Sales

Fixed Assets (excluding rural),
- expected 7.3%, prior 7.5%
Retail Sales

I'll have more to come on the China data separately
