Some comments by German and Austrian ministers on Brexit
- EU position is an excellent basis for a Brexit deal
- No one wants to punish the UK
- It is up to UK to find a way to deal with the EU
- EU has a clear line on Brexit
- More needs to be done to solve the Irish border issue
EU ministers are convening to discuss on some Brexit matters later today and will be joined by UK PM May for tomorrow's session. Though this seems promising, an informal summit isn't going to change anything and much like how October was supposed to be the key deadline for Brexit negotiations to reach a common ground, expect the November deadline to be pushed to December - the final EU Summit for the year.
